Al Pacino and Joe Pesci confirmed for The Irishman

Al Pacino and Joe Pesci will join Robert De Niro in crime drama The Irishman. Directed by Martin Scorsese, Irishman will be De Niro’s ninth time working with the legendary auteur, and finds the actor playing renowned Mafia hitman Frank ‘The Irishman’ Sheeran. Both Pacino and Pesci were rumoured to be involved, but De Niro confirmed it once and for all during an interview with MTV. “We do have the one that we’re definitely doing,” he told them. “Me, Joe Pesci, Pacino and Marty Scorsese directing.”

This isn’t actually sacrilegious, it’s fucking ace. And in a way supports christianity showing the hypocrisy of people and religion, not religion itself.

It also shows how religion has being warped for personal gain by people.

The bible has some brilliant messages, but people use religion as a tool for evil. All holy books have the same basic principle, which if people paid attention to, the world would be much better.

I really really like this. I think the root of Christianity is to be nice to people and not judge and stuff, and a lot of people use Christianity and any religion as an excuse for ignorance and hatred and it’s just stupid.

I think this is brilliant. People need to stop using the Bible as an excuse for bigotry. If they think the Bible supports hatred they obviously haven’t fucking read it. Even Jesus was not sent to judge. He was sent to love. What makes these religious extremists think they have any right to judge humanity?
